"Earth's Wisdom: Navigating Ransomware with Nine Star Ki"
Navigating the Unknown: Cosmic Guidance for a Cyber Age
In a startling revelation, UK police arrested two individuals involved in a ransomware attack targeting the sensitive data of over 8,000 children from Kido International's nurseries across Greater London. This breach, orchestrated by a cybercriminal group identifying itself as "Radiant," highlighted the vulnerabilities in our digital landscape and emphasized the urgent need for enhanced cybersecurity measures. For more details, see the original tweet here.
Background and Context
In late September 2025, Kido International, operating 18 nurseries in Greater London, fell victim to a ransomware attack. The perpetrators, known as "Radiant," claimed to have embedded themselves in Kido's network for weeks, exfiltrating sensitive data of over 8,000 children, including names, photographs, home addresses, and family contact details. This breach was substantiated by the publication of personal details of ten children on the dark web, with threats of further data release unless a ransom was paid. While the group alleged Russian origins, this claim remains unverified.
On October 7, 2025, the Metropolitan Police arrested two individuals in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, as part of a proactive operation targeting multiple residential properties. These actions underscore the growing threat of cybercrime, particularly in critical sectors such as education and childcare. The incident is symptomatic of a broader trend of increasing cyberattacks in the UK, placing pressure on the government to bolster cybersecurity infrastructure and regulatory frameworks.
